One of the most important investments we can provide at Northland Camp and Conference Center is to fulfill our mission of "helping campers take another spiritual step." We are thrilled to present God's Word and see Him prepare the hearts of every family member to become more like Jesus Christ. For nearly 50 years, God has graciously privileged us to minister to local churches and their families. Our desire is to continue to have a place for your children and your children's children to come and have their lives touched and transformed for eternity.
As we have focused our mission to prepare the heart of every family member for Christ-likeness, we must also prepare the Northland "home" for future years of ministry. Three of our oldest buildings, the two camp dorms and the dining hall, are strategic to future family camps and our entire camping ministry. They are the hub of camp life, providing housing and daily meals for 47 years. Our "home" urgently needs modernization. We believe Northland's Preparing the Heart initiative can be both an expression of gratitude to God for what He has done, and a step of faith into the future mission of what He has called us to do - touch every family spiritually for His glory.
Preparing the Heart - Strategic Initiative I
Complete modernization of the original camp dorms, including the following:
- New Interiors - new walls and ceilings, new carpet, lighting, tile, sink, toilet, shower, counter, electrical, including climate control in each room!
- New Exteriors - stone, siding, double pane windows that will provide more efficient heating and cooling
- New Landscaping - including sidewalks and decorative lighting
Total Cost - $250,000 per building

What a thrill it is for me to endorse our Preparing the Heart initiative. In the midst of our growing ministry to campers at Northland Camp and Conference Center, it has become crucial to take the next step in providing adequate and comfortable housing. This long-awaited program for the modernization of the camp dormitories, that has housed campers for a half-a-century will wonderfully provide the next generation of churches, families, and teens a place for God to continue His work in reaching hearts for His glory.
