Dear Family and Friends,
On behalf of our entire staff, let me invite you to a family vacation where each family member is treated like our special guest . . . guaranteed! Northland Camp provides child care and special programs for all age groups. We also serve our guests with genuine care and thoughtfulness. Our kitchen staff prepares delicious meals throughout the week, and our program staff is constantly planning your day’s recreation opportunities. We offer you a painless, stress-free, affordable vacation package which your entire family will enjoy.
You will also receive excellent instruction and preaching by our special speakers during each week of family camp, which will provide opportunities for spiritual growth for your family. This is why we bring in gifted communicators on family issues and personal growth. You will certainly leave physically refreshed, but it is our desire that your entire family returns home emotionally, spiritually, and relationally encouraged as well.
Please join us for family camp this summer!

Housing

The Northland Family Resort
Our beautiful cabins are located across the lake from the main campsite. Rooms are air-conditioned/heated with a loft, oversized bathroom, and bunk beds for up to 14 people. This is a nice option for families who bring along bicycles or who enjoy a little extra walking. There is an additional $200 charge for these rooms because of size and air-conditioning/ heat.

Lakeside and Timberside Cabins
These center court rooms are located close to the Dining Hall, Chapel, Daily Grind coffee shop, and Rec Hall. Each room houses 6-8 people, and some include full or queen beds. These rooms are convenient for large families with small children. We are happy to offer air conditioning in all of the center court cabins for an additional charge—$75 per room/week for rooms with just bunk beds (sleeps 6-8) or $100 per room/week for rooms with a queen/full bed and bunk beds (sleeps 6).

Heritage Inn
This option has three floors with nearly 60 available cabins and is located a short walk from the main activity area. Each cabin houses up to six people. Facilities include a private bathroom, public kitchen, and handicapped-accessible rooms (if requested).

RV/Tent Sites
Contact the office for availability and reservations. Camp prices remain the same for this option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can families not familiar with Northland attend?
Absolutely! Families seeking a family-friendly, Christian atmosphere are welcome to register. We have new families attend each year that then become regular camp attendees.
How structured is the family camp schedule?
Because of the number of people preparing camp programs and events, we provide a detailed schedule so that we can be as organized as possible to serve our family campers. At the same time, our family campers are encouraged to participate in the weekly schedule to the extent they choose. Generally, each family uses the schedule as a guide rather than an obligation.
Do families really have a good, solid vacation experience?
Once you come, you will experience a vacation like no other. It is relaxing and helpful at the same time.
Who can attend family camp?
Anyone! Of course, Mom and Dad bring the kids, but sometimes, it is just a single parent with the children, or grandparents who bring grandkids with them. Even widows and couples who no longer have any children with them have enjoyed the fellowship with other adults and the programs available to them.
Isn’t camp just for kids?
Absolutely not! In fact, after coming to family camp, our adults cannot wait to return for other programs throughout the year. We have transferred the youth camp experience so adults can fully enjoy a camp experience too. We write a completely different schedule and program for our adult groups which they thoroughly enjoy.
How many families can attend?
It really depends on how many cabins are available. Generally speaking, as many as 100-125 families can attend family camp—not to mention the RV and tent sites.
How does the cost of family camp differ from other vacation costs?
While the price isn’t the only measuring tool used to determine value, this family vacation is truly a great deal. The price includes staff services generally unavailable at other locations, housing for five days, delicious meals for every family member, expert family training from gifted speakers, daily programming, access to the full facility, and you don’t have to get in the car each day to decide what to do next. This is indeed a great package, and we doubt you can come close to matching it anywhere else, and when Mom is so happy with all the help she receives on this family camp vacation, she will return with her family year after year! Mom, that’s a value like nothing else!
