summer prep homework
Before you arrive at Northland, complete the following assignments.
This summer, our theme passage is Colossians 3:1-17. Your homework in preparation for coming to Northland is listed below. When you arrive to Summer Staff Check-in, you will be asked to show your proof of your completed homework.
Read these two books.
- The Calvary Road by Roy Hession, PDF (link below; about 40 pages)
- Helps for Counselors: A Mini-manual for Christians Counseling by Jay E. Adams
(order through the Book Order Form)
Read the book of Colossians once a day for 7 days.
- Ask the Lord for understanding and insight as you read and obey the Word.
- Ask questions like the following: What is the letter about? Why did Paul write this
letter? How does this letter pertain to our modern day? Why do I need this letter
in my life?
Memorize Colossians 3:1-17.
- Please memorize the passage in KJV. There will be a verse test given during
